Nova

The oldest of the crew and fully aware of her power. Nova is a black Bambino with gold eyes and a signature, slow hip sway. She is spayed, sassy, and convinced my husband might leave me for her, especially when she rubs up on him like she owns the place Nova accepts affection on her terms and makes sure the younger cats remember who was here first.

Posei

Posei is a white Dwelf with a gray spot, a gray tail, and ocean blue eyes that inspired her name after Poseidon. She is my ride or die travel buddy and a seasoned frequent flyer with over 25,000 miles under her belt. Airports do not faze her, suitcases mean adventure, and she is always ready for whatever comes next.

George

George is a bambino with green eyes. When we first saw him, he looked incredibly grumpy, which is exactly why we lovingly named him after Tim’s dad. He is gentle, loving, and an incredible stepdad whenever there are kittens are in the house. He enjoys the running wheel in short, dramatic bursts, then happily settles in to make sure the kids are behaving themselves.

Svetlana

"Lana" is a black tabby Elf with stunning teal eyes and a lot to say. She is very exotic looking and hails from Russia before I got her from my mentor. Petite, vocal, and proudly the most naked of the bunch, she is my first queen and an incredibly attentive, loving mom. She may be small, but her presence, personality, and opinions are anything but.

Lehigh

I am INSANELY excited to announce that I am adding a Minskin to our breeding program!!! Lehigh is from the Lehigh Valley in PA. She is young and will not be ready to breed until next Winter. Stay tuned, I will be posting about this breed in the education section of the site when it is ready.

Mr. Moon

This is our new King. Mr. Moon. If you never saw the movie: Sing: Mr. Moon is a koala. We immediately were dying laughing and for the now, we are trying it on. He will be lined up right on time when the rest of his harem is ready: sometime around Thanksgiving.

How It All Began

Hi, I’m Danielle, the heart behind Mama Bare Cattery.

I live in Southwest Florida with my husband and our two youngest children. I split my time between Florida and Pennsylvania, where I also own a portrait studio, Danielle Foster Creations, in Havertown, PA.

Believe it or not, I was not always a cat person. That changed quickly after a rogue mouse, a dramatic scream, and the very logical decision to bring home a Sphynx. We fell in love with our first boy, Sarge (photo to the right of him and my granddaughter), but after a heartbreaking experience with an irresponsible breeder, everything shifted.

Enter Lesley, my mentor, and the reason Mama Bare Cattery exists. She taught me what ethical, informed, and compassionate breeding truly looks like. With her guidance, our family grew to include Nova, Posei, George, and eventually my own breeding program - Lana, Phantom, & Moe.

Today, I raise my kittens with ethics, education, and an incredible amount of love. So if you’ve made it this far—great! This is me... Living my best life, surrounded by love, laughter, and purrs.
