At Mama Bare Cattery, we produce a limited number of kittens and focus on thoughtful, intentional placements. To ensure each kitten is matched with the right home, we use a structured waitlist system.
Submitting an application is the first step. From there, selected families will be invited to complete a phone interview before being placed on one of our lists:
First Pick List
- Our First Choice Families list is intentionally kept small to match the size of our cattery and allow for a more personal, organized experience.
Families on this list:
- Are contacted first when kittens become available
- Are not based on preference or selection. Spots are offered in the order families complete the approval process and become available as space allows.
- Receive a dedicated window to respond before we move forward to the next First Pick Family in line. This means each family will have an opportunity to choose when their turn is reached before we go to the next family.
- May not be offered a kitten in the most current litter but move up as families adopt or become inactive
Future Families List
Our Future Families List is open to those who are interested in a Mama Bare kitten but are not currently on the First Pick List.
If kittens remain after the First Pick List has been contacted, families on the Future Families List will be notified at the same time and given the opportunity to reserve.
At this stage, reservations are offered based on response timing.
Availability is not guaranteed, but this list provides an opportunity to be considered before kittens are released publicly.
List Movement
Because our First Pick List is intentionally kept small, space will naturally open over time. As this happens, we invite the next approved families from our Future Families List to join. This allows us to keep our First Pick List active and ensures families are moving forward when the timing feels right.
