Adopting my Sphynx cat, Shem, from Mama Bare Cats has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. From the very first message Danielle was kind, responsive, and incredibly knowledgeable, not just about the Sphynx breed, but about ethical breeding, proper care, and what to expect when welcoming one of these amazing cats into your home.
The adoption process was smooth, transparent, and thoughtful. I never felt rushed or in the dark about anything. I was kept updated with photos and videos of Shem as he grew, and I could tell even before meeting him in person that he was being raised in a nurturing, loving environment. It made all the difference.
When I finally brought Shem home, he adjusted so quickly. It was like he knew he belonged. He’s everything I hoped for and more: affectionate, hilarious, curious, endlessly playful, and FULL of personality. He sleeps curled up next to me or my kids every night, greets me at the door like a dog, and brings so much warmth into my life (literally and figuratively!).
I can tell that Shem was socialized with care and raised with real love. His confidence, health, and temperament speak volumes about the quality and heart behind Mama Bare Cats’s breeding program.
I feel incredibly lucky to have found this cattery and even luckier to have Shem in my life. He’s not just a pet, he’s family and now Mama Bare Cats is also part of my family forever!
